I arrived in Houston and all was well, until I was randomly selected to be searched. They had someone go all the way to the aircraft to get my baggage that was already on the aircraft. The first trial of faith that God puts in my path. As I was there waiting the them to get my bag I turned to God. I prayed and asked for his protection and asked him that if this was his will for me to go to Africa then that from here on that all would go smoothly, and if not to tell me immediately because i have no problem going back home. I guess an officer saw how nervous i was and He said to me "mam don't worry you not in any trouble, this is just a random check and i will make sure you don't miss your flight and that this goes quickly and smoothly, i'm going on my lunch break but i'im having a fellow officer take care of you in the mean time". When my bag came the poor officer looked more nervous than I did. I found out it was his first day on the job, and i was his first client. He was so impressed by reason for traveling that as he helped me get my bags back in the cart he said "well may God bless you and protect you and have a blessed day mam". And I responded "Amen and may God bless you and allow you to touch lives through your work". Its incredible how when i turned to God, a horrible situation turned into a situation in which it was actually used for his purpose. He took away all my fears and embraced me with peace and protected, and provided the right person to attend me. And i am more than certain that these blessing will continue in the remainder of my travels and in my stay in Rwanda.
Llegue a Houseton y todo me iba bien, hasta que me seleccionaron de la nada a ser revisada. Hicieron que alguien fuera y me sacara las maletas que ya estaban en el avión para revisarlas. Esta fue la primera prueba que Dios me ha puesto en el camino en este viaje. Me sentaron ahí y empece a pedirle a Dios por protección y le pedí que si esta era la voluntad de el que yo fuese a Africa entonces que de este momento en adelante todo saliera bien, y si no era su voluntad que me avisara inmediatamente para yo volverme a casa. Un oficial creo q noto lo nerviosa que estaba, y vino y me dijo "sentar, no se preocupe que usted no esta en ningún problema esto es de selección no particular y yo me voy asegurar que no pierdas tu vuelo. Yo hojita salgo a mi hora de almuerzo pero me asegurare que me compañero se va atender bien. Cuando llego mi maleta el pobre oficial se veía mas nervioso que uno y era que hoy era su primer día en el trabajo y yo era su primera cliente. El estaba tan impresionado por los motivos de mi viaje que mientras me ayudaba meter las maletas a un carrito me dijo "que Dios la bendiga y proteja y que tenga un día llena de bendiciones senora" Es increíble que como busque al senor, una situación que empezó siendo terrible se convirtió en una situación en que ayudo trabajar mas en tu gran plan y propósito. El se deshizo de todos mis temores y me cubrió con su protección y paz, y puso a la persona correcta que me atendiera. Y estoy mas que segura que estas bendiciones continuaran hasta el final de mi viaje y mientras estoy en Rwanda.
